Magaji Barda (Mags) has been playing polo for a few years and has competed in Zimbabwe, South Africa and Nigeria. He is the Patron of Watson Global Polo Team and plays off a handicap of -1. This is his debut outing at LUX Afrique.

Serena Taylor is a terrible -1 goal player. While she enjoys playing polo, she’s too busy crying at her Investment Banking job to be good owner of her 5 gorgeous polo ponies, let alone ride them. Serena tried to salvage getting rejected from Cambridge University, by getting a 1st from Durham (not really the same thing but we can pretend). After a couple years pretending to do “venture”, she blagged her way into Imperial Business School and has been a corporate slave ever since. She’s competed at 2-10 goal tournaments across the UK, gliding on the coattails of experienced pros and claiming their success as hers. Somehow she bribed the Lux Afrique committee to award her Player of the Match in 2023, and she’s been invited back ever since.

Camden Stewart is a British composer, pianist and operatic tenor of Ghanaian and Jamaican descent. Known for blending classical piano and voice with contemporary sensibilities, his original music bridges cinematic minimalism with emotional depth. A former soloist with the internationally acclaimed vocal group Libera, Stewart trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and is a Young Ambassador for the Lang Lang International Music Foundation. His performances, often presented in public spaces and shared widely online, have introduced millions to classical music in a way that is both personal and refreshingly modern.

Lenny Cunningham leads operations at a top UK national security provider, driving strategy and performance across regions. With a background in high-end hospitality, events, and private security, he brings structure, style, and leadership to every role. Off the clock, you’ll find him on horseback. A competitive polo player for over a decade, Lenny plays out of Cheshire Polo Club and competes both in the UK and overseas, including the annual Barbados International. He proudly supports youth polo initiatives like SMA Polo. Whether managing national operations or training young ponies, Lenny applies the same philosophy: lead with consistency, passion, and a long-term vision.
