There is no access to Wi-Fi, and network connectivity may be limited in the area. We strongly advise you to download your ticket to your Eventbrite app or save the PDF ticket sent to your email in advance. Attempting to access your tickets at the venue may pose a risk, and we cannot be held responsible for any issues that may arise.

No, all new tickets must be purchased at full price. Ticket upgrades are not available; you can only purchase a new ticket.

Yes, you can, but please be aware that tickets purchased at the door are priced higher than those available online. To secure the best pricing, we recommend purchasing your tickets online in advance.

Alcohol and food are not allowed at the venue. **Food, alcohol and drink will be available to purchase at the polo event. credit card and cash payments will be available.

There will be a choice of vegan and pescatarian food available.

Yes, you can. Cash machines will be conveniently located both inside and outside the venue, allowing you to withdraw cash for your payment.

The venue is accessible to everyone, including wheelchair users. Please note that the event is situated on grass site and manoeuvrability is limited as such.

No, there is no re-entry permitted once you have left the venue, regardless of the reason.

Yes, there is a strict dress code for the event: African Boldness, Polo Chic, and Sartorial Elegance. Please note that adherence to these dress codes is mandatory for entry, regardless of having a ticket. Shorts, slippers, and tracksuits are not allowed.

Judges will be looking for garments that go the extra mile and beautifully executed. Fit, quality and finish are very important. All aspects of the look – the hat, accessories, shoes and overall grooming are all considered. It should be remembered that this is what would be worn at a Polo Day, best dress male and female will win a luxury prize.

You can apply for accreditation before July 25th. In order to received a pass you must meet our strict criteria, which includes

By Road

TRAVELLING FROM LONDON – Whether you are coming from London (Heathrow is 35 minutes, Gatwick is 20 minutes) or the south on the A3, exit at the A243 towards Leatherhead/Dorking. Continue on this road when it joins up with the A24. Stay on the A24 past Dorking until you reach Beare Green roundabout. Turn right (south) onto the A29 towards Ockley and when in Ockley turn right onto the B2126 (for Forest Green & Ewhurst). In Ewhurst, turn left at the Bulls Head Pub and continue through the village. Just before you exit the village, there is a sharp right hand bend, where you turn left for Ewhurst Green. Follow the road and you will pass a cricket green on your left. Continue and after about 300 yards after the last buildings on the left are the gates to Hurtwood Park.

By Rail

The Nearest Train Station to the Polo Club is Guilford Station or Dorking Station from Waterloo station.

You would need to take a taxi from there to the venue.

No, this event is strictly for individuals aged 21 and over. We do not allow children or pets at the event.

No, bringing a chair or table to the venue is not allowed. However, you are permitted to bring a picnic blanket, or if preferred, you can purchase one at the venue. Alternatively, you have the option to purchase a ticket that includes seating.

The following are items prohibited from entering the event site. If you bring any of the below items with you, you will need to give them up in order to obtain entry.

These items, once taken from you, will not be returned:

All food items except baby food. All drink items except bottled water
Liquids, aerosols and gels in quantities greater than 100ml except sun screen and bottled water
Tents, placards, spray paint or any other item that could be used to demonstrate within the venue or sabotage property
Glass bottles (excluding medication in glass bottles with relevant prescription sticker displayed on the bottle)
Walkie-talkies, phone jammers and radio scanners
Bicycles, folding bikes, scooters, roller skates or skateboards
No ‘Drones’ or any other form of Unmanned Aerial System
All types of knives and bladed items
Offensive weapons or items that are intended for harm of any type
Personal protection sprays such as CS or Pepper Sprays
Firearms and ammunition (including replicas, component parts of any device suspected to be a fire arm)
Fireworks, explosives, flares, smoke canisters
Hazardous and toxic materials
Controlled drugs, including substances that look like controlled drugs
Items that resemble any prohibited items such as replica weapons or hoax explosive devices
Picnic hampers / cool boxes
Laser pointers and strobe lights
No scooters
Balls, rackets, Frisbees or other projectiles
Noise makers such as hunting horns, air horns, klaxons, drums, vuvuzelas and whistles

Photographic and other recording equipment

Permitted, provided that it is for personal non-commercial use only. Unauthorised professional recording equipment is NOT permitted.

By attending the event, you’re agreeing to be photographed and filmed, which can be used in all our media and marketing materials without compensation.

Your photos, videos, live streams, audio recordings for exploitation in any and all media, whether now known or hereafter devised, and you release Lux Afrique Polo festival, its successors, assigns and licensees from any liability, on account of such usage

Bags may be checked by the event organisers at any time. Cancellation of the event will only take place if extreme circumstances make it unsafe to play. The event organisers reserve the right to refuse admission or remove ticket holders from the event without giving a reason.

For your own safety and for the safety of others please stay away from the horses.

Please also look after tickets as duplicates will not be issued and there will be no access without the correct tickets.

The Event shall operate a challenge 21 policy. All guests who appear to be under 21 shall be asked to produce photo ID to prove they are of legal age before they are sold alcohol

CCTV will be in operation throughout the event.

The event drug policy states that all bags are to be searched for drugs and alcohol. Random persons will be searched on entrance and spot searching will be carried out during the event. Any seized drugs will be dealt with as per Police’s drugs protocol for licensed premises.
